4 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 cups pecan halves
Pinch of salt

Beat eggs. Add rest of Ingredients and pour into a 9-inch pie crust. Bake on center rack of 350 degree oven for 40 to 50 minutes.

Note…. here are my tips on baking this pie: Pie is done when center reaches 200?F. Tap center surface of pie lightly – it should spring back when done.
Also, if pie crust is over-browning, cut a piece of foil 12-inches square. Fold in half and cut a half circle to within 2″ of edges on all sides. Open it up and place over pie, folding edges over pie crust.
