BARBECUED CHICKEN Mrs. John J. Gingerich Cooking oil 3 to 4 lbs. chicken pcs. ? C. chopped onion 3 T. butter ? C. ketchup 3 T. brown sugar ? C. water 2 tsp. mustard ? tsp. salt ? tsp. pepper ? C. vinegar Heat a small amount of oil in a large skillet; fry chicken until browned. Drain. Place chicken in a 13?x9?x2″ baking dish. In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Pour over chicken. Bake at 350? for about 1 hour or until chicken is done, basting occasionally. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
