BLACKBERRY DUMPLINGS

DOUGH:

2 C. flour, sifted
2 ? tsp. baking powder

? C. oil or butter
? C. milk

? tsp. salt

Roll dough and cut into squares. Place berries on the squares; then sprinkle with sugar,
cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Fold dough over berries to form a ball. Set dumplings in a
greased pan, folded-side down.

SAUCE:

2 C. brown sugar
2 C. water

? C. butter
? C. cinnamon

Heat sauce ingredients enough to dissolve the sugar. Pour over dumplings. Sprinkle with sugar
and cinnamon. Bake in 350? oven for 45 minutes.
