Butter Icing for Sugar Cookies

Cream 1/2 cup soft butter with 2 cups icing (confectioner’s) sugar. Beat 2 tsp, vanilla, 2 tbsp milk and 1 cup more icing sugar into mixture. Gradually add 1-2 tbsp. more milk into icing to desired spreading or “piping” consistency.
Note: you may use a strong plastic bag, cutting the tip of one bottom corner off to “pipe” icing along edges of cookies before decorating with colored sugar, chocolate chips, raisins, etc. Have fun with it!
