CANNING BEETS Lovina Slabaugh 10 C. beet water 3 C. vinegar 1 T. salt Mixed pickling spice (if desired) 2 T. mixed pickling spice Salt to taste 5 C. sugar Cook beets, slip off skins and cut into chunks. Heat the above ingredients to boiling. Add beets and bring to a boil. Pack in jars and seal.
