3 T butter or margarine
2 cups quick rolled oats, uncooked
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 T Cocoa
1/4 cup corn syrup (either light or dark)
1 T Vanilla
Confectioners Sugar
Stir butter until soft. Combine oats, brown sugar and cocoa; blend well. Work oats mixture into butter, mixing well. Blend in syrup and vanilla. With wet hands shape to form small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Roll in confectioner’s sugar. Let stand a few hours to blend flavors.
Makes 2-1/2 dozen
