CORNBREAD

1 ½ C. yellow cornmeal
¾ C. flour
½ C. sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 C. sour milk or buttermilk
2 T. oil or melted butter
Combine ingredients in order given. Pour into a greased iron skillet or round 9″ cake pan and
bake about 15 minutes at 400°.
