Crescent Cookies

2 c. & 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 stick butter or margarine ( I suggest butter)
1 c. walnuts – ground
powdered sugar
On a board or counter top lay flour and sprinkle with baking powder and sugar.
Make a well and drop in egg yolks and vanilla extract. Cut the butter into slices and lay over the flour. Sprinkle ground walnuts over it.
Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough. Set the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Take one tsp. full of dough at a time and form it into a crescent shape.
Place on greased cookie sheets and bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes until the crescents are golden brown.
Carefully roll each crescent in powdered sugar while very warm.
Makes approximately 80 cookies.
