? pt. corn syrup 1 ? pts. water

Add a pinch of salt in flour and a little cornstarch to thicken. Add maple flavor to taste. Make
syrup part the thickness of thick molasses when boiling hot.

CRUMBS:
1 C. brown sugar
2 C. flour
? C. butter or lard

? tsp. soda
? tsp. cream of tartar
Pinch of salt

Mix and put on top of pies. Makes 4 pies.
