FRENCH VANILLA ICE CREAM Mrs. Joas J. Miller 5 C. milk 12 egg yolks 1 ? C. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla Put milk in saucepan; add sugar and egg yolks. Beat well and bring to almost boiling. Remove from heat and add vanilla and salt. Cool. Beat 1 quart heavy sweet cream and add just before freezing. Fill a 1 ?-gallon freezer. One that is good at complaining is seldom good for anything else.
