Grandma Lindley’s Pie Crust

Here’s my Grandma Lindley’s pie crust recipe.

3 Cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 Cup shortening (I’m trying it with lard and will let you know how it turns out.)
1 Egg
1 tsp vinegar
5 1/2 Tbsp ice cold water.
Mix flour and salt, then cut in shortening.
In a separate bowl beat egg, then add vinegar and water. Mix together and add to dry ingredients.
Makes crust for 2 two-crust pies.
When making baked crusts, bake at 450?F for 10 – 12 minutes.
I used lard instead of shortening this time and it came out very good.
