1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 cup white sugar
3/4 cup cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup coffee (hot)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees; grease the pans ..2 8 inch round ,line with wax paper.


Sift the flour ,sugar ,cocoa , baking soda ,salt into a large bowl and mix with mixer on low speed until combined. In other bowl combine buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla with mixer on low; add the wet ingredients to dry. Then add the coffee and stir to combine scraping the bottom of the bowl with rubber scraper. Pour batter into pans, bake for 35 to 45 min until tooth pick comes out clean, then turn them on cooling rack and cool. Place one layer flat side up on a flat platter, spread the ffilling; place the 2nd layer on top rounded side up.

For filling:

5 T flour
1/2 cup oleo
1 cup Crisco
1 1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar

This will be thick ..I have added marshmallow cream to makes it creamy ,,put in middle top with other layer. Then make chocolate frosting.
