Pour out the amount of milk for the recipe. Let it get to room temperature.
Add 1 tbsp. of vinegar for every 1 cup of milk in the recipe. If the recipe calls for 1/2 cup of sour milk, add 1/2 tbsp. of vinegar. Lemon juice can be used in place of the vinegar
Stir in the vinegar. The milk will curdle in a few minutes.
