Put in pan and let come to boil:

1 ? C. water
? C. sugar

DUMPLINGS:

2 T. butter
1 pt. black raspberries

1 C. flour
1 ? tsp. baking powder

? C. sugar

Sift dumpling ingredients together. Cut in 2 tablespoons butter. Stir in ? cup milk and ?
teaspoon vanilla. Drop dumplings in sauce. Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm or
cold with milk or whipped cream.
