TO CAN CHUNKS Mrs. Joas J. Miller Take chunks and salt them. Lay them out on table to drain overnight. Then put in jars and boil 3 hours. This keeps them from being so tough.
TO CAN STEAK Mrs. Joas J. Miller 1 gal. water ? C. salt 1 C. brown sugar Mix and divide in 14 quart jars. Fill jars with steak. Cook and seal.
